Resource, the council of museums, archives and libraries has already devoted a conference to the international role and tasks of UK public collections. The consortium of cultural heritage was asked to survey which UK public collection and institution is involved in international cooperation and what tasks are assumed by them. The strategic plan reinforces the significance of international roles, presents the most important international efforts, describes the state of cooperation in the EU (regional agencies, partnerships, action plans), formulates strategic goals and problems, mentions the role of politics, underlines the importance of the promotion of interests, lobbying, deals with the problems of financing, and finds the creation of an information portal for widespread information spreading important.
