The views of Budapest library students on library education.

MIKULÁS Gábor

The article was written as part of a Hungarian-Dutch joint thesis. In February 1992 a survey was made at the Loránd Eötvös University Department of Library Science among students with majors in arts and science concerning the efficiency of library education. The findings were as follows: library education needs change in many respects; the graduates are not satisfied with education as a whole, nevertheless they consider the technological conditions as adequate. The author considers library education to be a kind of service. To raise its standard cooperation is needed in all fields of librarianship. (pp. 676-678)
