A public utility society was founded in 1997 to elaborate the plans of the János Neumann Multimedia Centre and Digital Library. Their main aim was to offer high level digital services to the public. Organising the digitisation of the most important documents and making them available through Internet belong to the tasks related to this goal. Beside digitised documents other electronic publications will also be collected in collaboration with the national library. Various services would be spread on three levels in a future building. The Budavár Multimedia Palace will be on the ground floor for the public and for foreigners where the cultural life and geographic beauties of Hungary will be shown in spectacular programmes. On level two the Digital Library will be available through Internet as well. Researchers will have their facilities on the third level.
